 Deuteronomy 7:9 says, "Know therefore that the Lord your God is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love Him and keep His commandments, to a thousand generations...."
When God makes a statement, He is faithful to His word. He does not lie. He does not mislead. He does not tease or exaggerate. He is "watching over His word to perform it" (Jeremiah 1:12). He does not promise a life without problems. Instead He promises His power to you to conquer the problem.
God is faithful. We are called to be faithful. He calls us to be just like Him.
